Cootiecounto and the Land of a Thousand Lakes
One sunny day, Gossipina gets Cootiecounto to come close to her, touches his arm, and sends him running all the way into a nearby river. When he pops out of the water, he finds himself on a snowy river bank surrounded by snow-covered trees in Finland. Soon, a beautiful female swan lands near him, but he doesn’t want anything to do with her because she’s a girl. Still, she decides to warn him of the gulo gulo, the dangerous wolverines that live nearby. The swan leaves Cootiecounto because he doesn’t want to be near her, but a gulo gulo appears, and now Cootiecounto really could use some help!
Cootiecounto’s adventure in Finland will help kids learn why it’s so important to accept everyone for who they are. Cootiecounto will have to stop judging people based on their gender if he wants to get back to Goop World. Will he be able to do it? Join him in Finland to find out!
Gossipina's story is perfect for the little ones that love to spin tales
The next Goop can’t wait to be introduced, so say hello to Gossipina! She’s a chatty Goop who loves to share tidbits of information. Unfortunately, most of the information she shares is pure gossip and puts the other Goops in a tough place.
One morning, Gossipina lies and tells her friend Hogger that there are fairies at a nearby waterfall to get him to come with her. Once there, Gossipina begins to write in her little notebook to convince Hogger of her lie, but she gets sucked right into the pages. When she pops back out, she finds herself on Socotra Island in the middle of the Indian Ocean! She soon meets a masked booby named Zorro, who tells her that the dragon trees on the island each have a secret, and when they lose their secret, they have to find a new one. This can be very dangerous for Gossipina, as she might just be the next secret they snatch up!
Gossipina doesn’t listen to Zorro’s warning and follows the moonlight into a dragon tree that night. A little golden bird is sitting at the top and is released when Gossipina arrives–she has become the tree’s new secret! Her desire for gossip got her into this mess, but it probably won’t be able to get her out. Will she finally learn to be honest with her words and stop spinning untrue tales?
Gossipina’s journey on Socotra Island will help kids learn why it’s so important to be honest with their words. Gossipina will need to leave her lies behind if she wants to escape the dragon trees. Will she be able to do it? Join her in the middle of the Indian Ocean to find out!
